Robert J. Marsh PhD, has served in both law enforcement & mental health for decades. He currently serves as the Chairperson for the Officer Wellness Committee of the Illinois Association of Chiefs of Police. He graduated with his PhD in 1992 with an emphasis in Trauma Assessment and Treatment, and continues to treat, lecture, and consult on cases related to traumatic recovery. His clinical experience comes from a variety of outpatient settings, and a comprehensive array of inpatient settings to include; The IL Dept. of Corrections, The IL Dept. of Mental Health (Forensic Units), and The Federal Bureau of Prisons. His LE experience comes from local departments (city, village, and sheriff), state, and federal law enforcement, including front line and administrative positions. He served as a Chief in a Village from 2009-2012 in Southern Illinois. In addition, he comes from a law enforcement family in Central Illinois that produced several LEO’s, one of whom served as a President of the ILACP in the early 1970’s.
