Final changes were made in November to the new marijuana law, the Cannabis Regulation and Tax Act, which legalizes recreational marijuana on January 1, 2020.
ILACP has been studying the issue even before the bill was introduced earlier this year. Now we are putting together some training sessions to help you implement the new law and to get police departments and state’s attorneys on the same page when it comes to enforcement.
Tentative program schedule:
- Highlights of the law
- Enforcement
- Police Chiefs’ perspective
- State’s attorney’s perspective
- Workforce issues
