Bruce Sherman

Bruce Sherman has served with Texas Department of Public Safety since 2007.  Sherman has held positions of State Trooper, Special Agent, Texas Ranger, and currently Lieutenant.

During his time with the Texas Highway Patrol, Sherman became part of the Texas Crimes Against Children Interdiction for the Protection of Children (IPC) program. While assigned to the Texas Highway Patrol, he made multiple IPC traffic stops resulting in child rescues.

Sherman conducted IPC investigations in his former role as Texas Ranger.  He served as a member of the North Texas Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, the FBI Child Exploitation Task Force, and the USMS Fugitive Task Force, often responsible for apprehending absconded high-risk threats to children.

Sherman holds a Master Peace Officer's license in Texas and a Master of Public Administration degree from Tarleton State University.

Sherman completed the IPC 2-day basic and 3-day Train the Trainer course and has been certified as an IPC instructor.  He also completed the 40-hour Specialist Interviewing course instructed by Dr. Joe Sullivan, Forensic Solutions.  Sherman is a current member of the Texas Crimes Against Children Center Child Protection Team.
