School of Police Staff and Command in Illinois The NUCPS School of Police Staff and Command (SPSC) will be held in Evanston, IL starting March 22; in Champaign, IL starting August 16; in Homewood, IL starting September 13; and in Evanston, IL starting September 27.
SPSC prepares law enforcement managers for senior positions by combining academic principles with practical applications. The program is intended for mid- and upper-level supervisory personnel, and participating students are expected to have at least two years of supervisory experience. SPSC focuses on four main components: understanding management, law enforcement management and environment, human resource management, and skills for planning and analysis.
Upon successful completion, students are awarded approximately 21 semester hours of Northwestern University undergraduate credit.
