This person will have opportunities for management development, professional development, and advancement within the association. This announcement was made March 6, 2018. This person will succeed Linda Kunz, who is retiring May 15 after 28 years of dedicated service to the association. She will be honored during the 2018 Annual Conference.

Ed's 3 Things. 02.17.2018

  1. Kruger goes on TV opposing bad bill: We are strongly opposed to HB4208, which could eliminate School Resource Officers from some schools. ILACP President Kruger went on the TV news to express his outrage about this. Watch here.

  2. End of watch: Condolences to the family of slain Commander Paul Bauer and to the Chicago Police Department. As is our custom, we sent a notice asking all Illinois police agencies to wear mourning bands from the date of his death until his funeral services.

  3. The next meeting of the Legislative Committee will be Friday, March 9, at the Oak Brook Police Department, 1200 Oak Brook Road. It starts at 1 p.m. Anyone is welcome. We will have a phone-in option.
